DEFINNATION 

When a light of suitable frequency is incident on a surface of metal then the electrons are emitted from metal surface. This phenomenon is known as photoelectric effect .

Threshold frequency is defined as the minimum frequency of incident radiation below which the photoelectric emission is not possible completely .irrespective of the intensity of the incident radiation .
